“Beautiful inn ! Great breakfast !Friendly staff ! Don’t stay in room over kitchen !! Can hear all kitchen noise early as they are making breakfast . Also a trip hazard between room and bathroom! I fell there😒We were moved to the monument Grand room ! Absolutely stunning large room with a fireplace! Request that one if you can! No elevators so be prepared to carry your luggage upstairs . “I was expecting more from the room accommodations, because of the price. The restaurant was very nice with excellent service. Pricey as to be expected. However, the room was really dated and mediocre. Almost had a dingy feel. It had two landline phones, one even in the bathroom (lol), and neither worked. I drove around to 3 different locations to find ice, bc 2 out of the 3 machines were broken. The only reason I’d stay here again is if I got a really good deal. The rooms really need some……

“Colonial houses are an opportunity to stay right in the midst of historic Williamsburg . The location could not be any more convenient. We stayed at Brick House Tavern on the second floor. The bed was comfortable and the room nicely decorated. However the rooms were last updated about 30-40 years ago estimating by the fixtures, etc. The rooms rates are reasonable based on location but are not reasonable based on the out of date locks (old fashioned brass keys) , bathroom plumbing and scarcity……
