“It’s about 3 miles from the park. It’s about one mile of unpaved road to the house and it’s tricky to find at night. There are food, market, and gas options super nearby. It’s beautiful and quiet amd the perfect retreat to end a very active day ”

“This was such a fantastic off-grid getaway. If you enjoy the sound of crashing waves against the rocky cliffs 24/7, living in the jungle with fresh fruit trees and coconut trees, and hearing the sound of evening rain showers from the topical climate, then this is the place for you. My fiancé and I booked this 9 months in advance to go visit the Volcanoes National park (which is less than 45min away) and got to see Kilauea erupting!Also, booking well in advance will save you money as most hotels……

“Charmantes Haus in ruhiger, grüner Lage. Küche, Wohnraum und zwei Schlafzimmer, eins davon mit zusätzlicher Terrasse, Bad und zusätzlich große Aussendusche. Alles sehr gepflegt in einem großen, grünen Garten. Zum Relaxen gab es sogar zwei Hängematten. ”

“This property was great for our stay on the Hilo side of the island. It was clean and well stocked. The host was great and responded to any question we had, before or after arrival. With 2 teenage girls on the trip, it was nice to have 3 bedrooms. We will definitely consider staying again if/when we get to come back. ”

We felt like we were in the tropics with all the beautiful flowers and foliage around us! We enjoyed our stay!”

“Excellent accomodations! The day we arrived was rainy and the Treehouse was so cozy, perfect to curl up and read a book. The location was excellent for hiking Volcano thee next morning and then popping back at night to see the lava. Also great location for visiting Panalu'u, a black sand beach with turtles!”
