“This place is confortable and super well situated for visiting Volcanoes National Park, which was our goal. Hot tub is a great bonus. The place was nice and clean, but does not have much cookware. If you're OK eith this, it is a great rental.”

“This property is situated in a rainforest like area. However, the house/ rooms are dated. The area is humid and the humidity impacts everything. The room was not the cleanest and while I was there the water went out. There was not the best communication as to when the water was fixed and complete. There are other places near here that are better to stay. ”

“Wonderful home for groups of 6 to 8 people. All four bedrooms have nice, private baths, tho one has twin beds (great for kids). Also a very nice kitchen. Best part is quick & easy proximity to Volcanoes National Park, so we were able to make multiple visits per day (resting in between). Also close to Volcano town and its cafes. House has a gas grill, so stop in Hilo before you come up and grab steaks or burgers. ”

“Great location. We got there at dusk - tropical pathway lights didn't work - most were smashed. Hot tub was not "locked up" as supposed to be - and cloudy. Did not want to chance a UTI so - no tubbing which was the whole reason we picked this little gem. Sink clogged up, wallpaper paper falling off, possible black mold on skylight above bed. No batteries in remote. We left a day early. I hope they fix it up.”

“It was late at night when we got to this VRBO. The instructions told us to walk down a path that would be lighten but it was completly pitch back and we were walking in the middle of a rainforest. Once we figured out where we were, we typed the code and got the key. We walk in and the place is a mess. Dirty sheets, dirty towels all over, food everywhere, clearly not ready for us to be there. We text the property owner and he thankfully responded quickly. He gave us the code to the other room.……

“Rick and Katy are straight forward to deal with, providing lots of insider information on out of the way experiences on The Big Island. The view from the common area where you can enjoy the healthy breakfast that Rick and Katy provide is peaceful. The veranda is a perfect place to watch the two goats playing in the yard.
