“The property has been beautifully furnished and is very charming. It’s handy for the town centre and the Brewery Arts Centre. We’d recommend the Moon restaurant and The Fell bar on Lowther Street. Parking is not convenient or available and we were disappointed that the parking permit we were promised was not available when we arrived. We had to park in a town centre car park and buy a 3 day ticket. Although the property was well equipped especially with books! (The reading corner is amazing), we……

“Comfortable, well equipped 2 bedroom lodge with the living room, kitchen, bathroom, garden, parking space. Very kind owners always ready to talk. Property surrounded by a beautiful nature - green hills, farm animals. Not far are nice trails for hiking. Kendal is only 6 miles away. I recommend this place and I want to come back in the future.”

“House is clean and tidy. The kitchen has everything we need. Water pressure and temperature in all bathroom are perfect. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The heater in ground floor got very loud noise after few hours central heating been turn on. Need to turn up the heating,(e.g. from 0 to 2, from 2 to 3)to stop the noise. There were high pitch "beeps" from ground floor which woke everyone in house at 3am and 3:30am on the first night. Sounds like the smoke detector but we were not sure. However,……

“The Old Chapel was a delightful apartment. For us, a couple, it was perfectly presented with all the facilities one needs. It might be a little cramped if there were four adults staying. The access driveway to the property was a little narrow in places. We have an estate car and we only just squeezed through the gaps between walls and other buildings but as had been said before larger vehicles could be left in Hutton Lane.”
