We saw a momma deer and her two fawns, and found the tree frogs on the windows at night amusing. Definitely plan on staying again when Iwe are Gainesville. ”

“Beautiful little getaway! This cottage was so cute and had everything we needed while we moved out of our home! Beautiful property also. Would highly recommend!”

“The studio apartment was perfect for my wife and I to stay while we visited with family in St. Augustine. The apartment had everything we needed plus the bed was very comfortable. The building, the grounds, and the pool were all beautiful. Our favorite eating places: Canopy Cafe for breakfast, Woodpecker’s BBQ was amazing for lunch, and Whit’s frozen custard was fantastic. We would definitely recommend Porta del Sol. ”

“Did not send check in info. Did not respond to NUMEROUS text or voice messages day of check in. Canceled it after I requested refund from VRBO. Had to find hotel after 4 pm on an event weekend in Gainesville Stressful. RUN! ”

“My boyfriend and I really enjoyed staying here with our dog! The neighborhood is nice and walkable, the unit was clean and had everything we needed. As a matter of information, I did not see a place where we could control the temperature, but it was very comfortable while we were here. The shower is also quite small, but there were toiletries provided and that was nice. We were close everything we could want and a short drive from downtown. “This was my second time staying at depot village and it was wonderful! The owners are kind, conscientious, and were quick to respond to any concerns we had. Our unit was clean, comfortable, and the shower was amazing! The only downside was that the internet was a little slow, so we weren't able to use the bluetooth speaker in the bathroom very much. Overall a great stay though. We can't wait to come back! ”

“Floors have a severe slope to them which is normal due to age, owners have done their best to update it. Neighborhood was very quiet. Window AC shakers will freeze you out. It is not a luxury home by any means but it does the trick and a great option for a quick getaway near the campus.”

"The front manager was very monotone and unenthusiastic whenever we interacted. She also has difficulty communicating with guests in a timely manner, evidently shown when we tried to call the front desk but had to wait extremely long for her to just pick up. Hotel-wise, they didn’t have any slippers even when requested. The breakfast was also only mediocre at best. Nothing terrible, but nothing exciting either. All in all, it was a very average experience."
