“So much potential. The parking lot is unkempt, many facilities are shut down, there only seems to be a single staff member on site. The carpets are beaten down, the whole hotel smelled of cleaning agents, and our room smelled of cigarettes. Putting that aside, rooms were actually clean. No bugs, dirt or anything. It was eerily empty and quiet, but some might like that. The staff member was super friendly and helpful. I feel if this place put any money into recovering the parking lot and physical……

“THE STAFF WAS AMAZING, COULDN'T BE MORE HELPFUL, THE BREAKFAST WAS MORE THAN SUFFICIENT & PLENTYFUL. IT WAS NOT EVEN TAKING DOWN UNTIL AFTER 9:30 AM!!! THE CLEANING STAFF NEED TO PAY MORE ATTENTION TO CLEANING BEHIND & UNDER THE BED. PUT THE REST OF THE ROOM SEEMED CLEAN. THANK YOU FOR A GREAT VISIT THE ROOM C”

“The best thing about this hotel for me was the staff. Everyone was friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay more comfortable. I will also say that this is probably the cleanest hotel pool I have ever seen, and I felt totally comfortable having my kids swim in it. I would definitely stay here again.”

“We enjoyed our stay. The inn is in an old historic building but the interior is clean and filled with nice touches. We stayed one night, and were in the smallest room. The bed was fine. The room was quiet! The breakfast was thoughtfully presented. Good coffee. Great bread. We enjoyed the outside patio and lawn that leads down to the Ottauquechee River. We also enjoyed the artwork in the gallery. The best part of the inn is the owner and staff. They are attentive and eager to please. ”

“The inn was marvelous. The inn keeper and her husband the maintenance man were charming and responsive to our needs and kept the place immaculate. The restaurant was dissapointing. Service was terrible, eggs were over cooked. Toast was slathered in butter (I think it was butter). No salt, pepper or any other condiments were on the table and the waitress was no where to be found so we ate the meal as it was getting cold. We did not go back the next day”
