“The room I stayed in was clean. The decor was great! Enjoyed my visit, although it was only night.
One minor thing. When I sat at a table reserved for me, there was no menu on table, so I borrowed one from a nearby table.
This does not take the excellent service provided at the Woodborough Inn.”
“It was a very nice stay with an excellent couple. Warm welcomed. A very nice big dog was also present to welcome. I had to say hello to the dog as he was so friendly. Very cooperative host. Family environment. Residence is upstairs like three rooms and bathroom outside the rooms. Mostly quiet. Nice and clean and a proper communication with the host throughout my stay. I was invited warmly to have breakfast but had no time. Will miss this stay.”
“Lovely room with comfy beds, nice and quiet, lovely to hear the birds tweeting and lambs baaaaaing in the morning! Very tasty breakfast and welcoming hosts, and dog friendly!
Good location, walking distance to 3 pubs, we also walked into Wells for the Saturday market which is well worth a visit. ”
“We’ve stayed at the Crossways several times over the past 5 years and have ALWAYS had a pleasant stay however, on this occasion although the accommodation was the usual high standard the food in the restaurant was very poor, we did mention this so the staff were aware, the food was poorly presented and quite chewy (I’m particularly talking about the lasagne) the gluten free options for my mother were limited (no gf bread/bun) they used do amazing chunky chips but are now soggy fries, I’m not……
“Had a lovely little break with the family. Lodge was lovely and had everything we needed for our stay. Hot tub was a firm favourite with everyone, especially the kids. Would recommend this place to anyone”
“Staff very friendly. Most of our food was good. What needs pointing out is the restaurant times for dinner, as we booked for 7pm, and when I rang to say we could be later, due to work commitments, I was told they stopped taking food orders at 7.45. Some updating needed at this hotel, in the rooms, But we would definitely stay again. 😊”
