“The location was great --- near I35 and downtown New Braunfels. The river area was really nice too. BUT, don't take a lot of luggage as the place is really small. No stove for cooking, only microwave. Refrigerator is small but not tiny -- we thought it was adequate.We ran into a couple of maintenance issues... Manager was very responsive and they were adequately resolved.Washer and dryer are accessed from outside the unit in an attached room.”

“Loved this “Cozy Cottage”. It is as the name suggests a small house. So well appointed and comfortable. Small thoughtful extras such as twinkle lights, diffusers set on timers to make the house smell so nice, solar torches that light the driveway, outside lighting in the trees, and lights illuminating the stairs. A/C works very well and ceiling fans in both the living room and bedroom. We were only there for less than 24 hours to attend a concert at Whitewater ( great location for concert goers……

“Through no fault of the property owner, our check in process was horrible!!! I did reserve the property the day before check in, but the address to the property was never sent to us by Vrbo. After calling them, they put me on hold numerous times. After we finally got the address and entered it into navigation, I let them know that I expected door codes to be sent to me in 15 minutes. When we arrived at the property, there was a gate that required a code to enter and we had not received anything……

“The house was right on the Guadalupe river. The back was all windows so you could see it even when indoors.I wish I would've brought my paddle board. Birds everywhere & saw a river otter.It was a great mini vacay. So relaxing. “From the very beginning, Lazy H Retreats was so easy to work with. They responded very quickly to inquiries. The house had everything we needed and was in a good location to everything we wanted to do. The stairway down to the river was amazing but there were ALOT of steps. Going down was easy, but coming up was a not as easy. Thankfully there are rest benches along the way back up!”

“We found the property to be perfect for our needs. For two people, it was fine; for more than two...you better be good friends. It was close to the places we needed to visit. Listening to birds and learning about new plants was an unexpected extra. Locating the house was actually easy...not something I can say about some of the Wimberley rentals that we have used in the past. Actually, I hope that no one reads this because I want to stay there again next year!”

“This was a great place and perfect for our family of 4. One main issue we had (really the only thing) is there are no curtains in the bedrooms. It would be sooo nice if they added curtains to block out the morning light. Also, could use some updated sheets, the ones on our bed were pilling pretty bad. Other that those 2 things, it was a great stay and we hope to be back! ”

“This place was paradise to us. We wanted a cousin couples getaway without our children and this property did not disappoint.
