The neighbourhood was very pretty and the closest 'high street' had a wonderful Turkish vibe - great baklava! There were also other great high streets within walking distance, each unique. “Hamish and Susie were great hosts. Hamish met us on arrival and gave us a tour of the house. We enjoyed the goodies in the welcome basket. The shortbread’s were delicious ( I believe they were homemade). We enjoyed our 3 night stay, the cottage was what we had hoped it would be. The gardens and grounds were so lovely and peaceful. Hamish gave us excellent advice getting to London by train. Our son and grandson enjoyed exploring Windsor Great Park, they saw a lot of wildlife. An awesome……

“Communication from the owners was poor right up until the day of check in. I made contact a few days before we were due to stay, to understand the process of check in. After reading my messages, they totally ignored them and we had to call the night before to make sure that our booking was actually in place. “First impressions count don't they? On arrival we were met with a stinking bin full of rotting nappies and food waste in the yard. Front and rear gardens were weed ridden and overgrown, gate was broken, parking a nightmare. Entering the property everything appeared ok, until we had a closer look. The cream sofa in the lounge was badly stained with holes in the arm of the chair. Ceiling had water leak damage. “Listing was not accurate and there was no dryer or heat in the home. Listing photos were amazing, but place was more run down than photos suggested. Stains, damaged cookware, uncomfortable beds, and terrifying stairs up to the bathroom and beds. This could be a good listing with some TLC so I'm hoping that happens.”

“We had absolutely no heating. I tried several times to contact the owner by email, messenger and by phoning her. No reply. I had been in contact with her regarding check in via email and messenger, I even sent a photo of the temperature in the house. 10 degrees. I had to source 2 radiators myself, which a kind neighbour lent us. I would like a refund for our inconvenience ”

“We (german family, 3 Kids) had a wonderful stay in this lovely cottage. Contact with the owner was nice and friendly, very helping! The cottage was exceptional clean and tidy, and very well equipped. Good bus connection with the 703 Flightline (i.a. Bracknell, Windsor, Colnbrook, Heathrow Terminal 5 with connex to TfL Picadilly and Elisabeth Line).We'd love to come back for another stay!”
