Myself, my wife and my 1 year old son passed 3 hours circulating into the city trying to find the Hotel. In the booking confirmation message I received from Expedia stated “Plot 4 Kamuli Road, Entebbe, Ouganda” as the location/address of the hotel. After spending hours and $46 USD. “This was a comfortable, quiet hotel with friendly staff and good breakfast served in a pleasant patio area. Showers worked fine, and sitting outside on the balcony was nice. The location is an easy walk to Victoria Mall or the bus park to get a cheap ride into Kampala.”

“Gately is a quaint hotel that is always enjoyable. The staff are courteous, professional and attentive but not annoying. The facility itself is a bit nostalgic and unique, and along with that comes aging plumbing and electrical supply problems. You will enjoy Gately, particularly the staff, but expect a bit older amenities.”

“I keep coming back to this property because of its vicinity with Victoria Mall. I will look for alternatives since this hotel started to charge $10 one way airport shuttle per person while the price is still higher compared to any similar US Best Western location. Something is rotting at the core of African hotel industries. ”
