“The moment the door of the property opened, I felt like I am looking at a slice of paradise, compared to the views I got on the drive from airport to the property. The room I stayed in is tastefully decorated, with a deck that sees a very good angle of the cloud shrouded mountain. The hosts are so flexible. The breakfast was simple but delicious, with good quality plates and utensils. Compared to the United States, my stay here felt like staying at a 4.5 star resort but paying for a 3-star in……

The knowledge that Jorge and Herman transferred to me made the stay enjoyable: on toucons, on fungi, on bees.”

“My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed La Finca Azul, and especially the family whose vision it is -- including Nacho, Oli, and Cece, the three dogs. I've stayed in agroturismos in Italy, and this was a very similar experience, complete with the fabulous food. I'm pretty sure Italy doesn't offer swimming by yourself in a mountain stream surrounded by the echoes of howler monkeys. ”
