“Such a beautiful property & great value!!! Unbelievable views from our room of the waterfall on property grounds. Photos of the property do not do it justice. We booked this very last minute due to a change of schedule due to rain & the host’s communication was very helpful. We were pleasantly surprised at how much we loved our change of plans. Not only was this property beautiful & full of hummingbirds, but Bajos del Toro was charming & had so much to offer. ”

“Lovely rooms set on raised platforms in the forest, verandas all around for watching the birds. Guided walks all around the forested property. Dinner was an ample buffet as was breakfast. Lovely stream rushing past our rooms. Idyllic. ”

“The staff was very kind and accommodating to my late arrival. The property is secure behind a gate. The courtyard is lush and offers space to gather. The walls and windows do allow for transfer of sound, but everything was quiet a bit 10:30 pm. I slept well, had a good breakfast and shower. I would stay at this property again, especially when coming through San Jose on to other destinations. Of note, I did use the provided fan, but I don’t think there is an air conditioner. ”
