“Upon getting to our room on the third floor, we found it extremely hot. We contacted the front desk and learned air-conditioning on property was turned off for the season on October 1st. The staff was exceptional and put us in a room on the 1st floor which was much cooler. The hotel staff was exceptional and the hotel was clean, in a great location. The issue with the air conditioning seemed to be with Expedia's knowledge of the property, and not the hotel.”

“Very nice breakfast with lots of choices. Also enjoyed the bar at the hotel, the bartender made wonderful espresso martinis! The room was very nice but not very soundproof. It is not the hotels fault but we did have very noisy neighbours which made it difficult to sleep our first night.”

“Excellent hotel and location, but desperately needs air conditioning installation in the bedroom. Temperature was only mid twenties but too hot at night even with a fan in the room.”

“Right by the harbour in La Rochelle. Great for trying a range of bars and restaurants. Lovely hotel with great staff who are extremely helpful. Hotel has a lovely pool area, quite unusual for the centre of La Rochelle. Hotel has a section of a nearby car park which is very secure. You'll need to check in at the hotel before accessing the parking, we would have appreciated that information beforehand. Would definitely stay there again when in La Rochelle. ”
