“This Property had bed bugs. When I went to the front desk they were not surprised and told me to leave. They said they would give me a refund but I booked through Expedia so we will see what happens now. ”

“Very kind owner, willing to listen to feedback for improvements. really like the triangular shower tub and bathroom design, gives more elbow room, BUT the door needs to be changed. When bathroom door is swung in, it blocks access to over half of the tub. I suggest a folding closet door type , or a door that disappears into the wall. Also the refigerator had no control. It did freeze bottles in the freezer compartment , which is good. BUTI it froze other things on the shelves. Microwave……

“For the price it was what I expected. Breakfast was exceptionally nice and accommodating. Rooms were fairly clean and noise was limited. My only disappointment was I wanted a hotel with a pool for my kids but it was broke however we played at an indoor water park near there for the day. Great stay and highly recommended if you are in the area and want to explore Starved Rock area.”

“I had a short overnight stay here, but got a good nights sleep, which was the point of the stay.”

“It is a nice historic building. It has been renovated very nicely. There isn't a staff person sitting at a front desk. My key was in a large envelope with my name printed very large, and left on the front counter, next to another guests, with their name printed very large on the envelope. So much for privacy... Located on a corner in the town square, on a main street. Was quiet thru the night, after 11pm on a Monday night.”

“We were traveling with my father and I got him his own room. We also requested first floor. Upon check in, they gave us rooms next to eaxh other, which was extremely helpful.”
