“We really enjoyed ourselves! The property is perfect for relaxing, loved the screened in porch overlooking the river!!! Even when it was chilly ( did mIt’s close to all the lake placid attractions y morning yoga out there… we enjoyed the fire pit outside, the sauna was awesome!!! “This was our first visit to Wilmington NY. The house and the location are wonderful. A very peaceful environment and the house is comfortable and nicely appointed. The location on Quaker Mtn Rd is the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy quiet. Lots of good hiking trails around the area and getting to Lake Placid is easy and "just down the road". “Not sure how the Wilderness Inn cabins receive such high ratings, other than the price was very reasonable. I have stayed at other locations in the Wilmington area during my spring and fall fishing trips over the past twenty years, but this was the first time I stayed at a Wilderness Inn cabin (Norway). “the cabin we stayed at was exactly as the description provided by the owners (100% accurate). what a great place to come back to after a wonderful, but hard day of hiking up Wright Peak in the High Peaks. “Our family stayed here on a ski trip to Whiteface. The hotel is across the street from the mountain and is a great base camp, especially when you’re skiing with kids and have a lot to prep/do to get ready! We were here during a very large snow storm and the driveway was plowed and accessible even with the constant snow dumping! Highly recommend if you are looking for a nice base camp away and will spending most of your time outdoors. Beautiful view of the mountain! ”
