“This is a wonderful hotel. As a boutique hotel the number of rooms are limited, but that just makes for more personalized and better service. The hotel is located at the tip of Mirror Lake, just a 5 minute walk from the heart of Lake Placid. The Olympic speed skating oval is only a block away, the Olympic museum and ice rinks are two blocks. Rooms at the front of the hotel overlook a public park and beach, with clear views of the lake. “It was off season which may account for it being so quiet. The use of bikes, canoe, kayaks complete with life jackets all at your fingertips at no cost when ever you needed it, was great. And you are right on the lake!!! Manager and staff were very friendly.”

“The room was very "simple" yet extremely clean. The crisp white room and bed made it a very pleasing environment. Bed was very comfortable. The bathroom seemed newly tiled with very nice fixtures. No room key necessary because we were sent a code to enter our room. Restaurants are within walking distance.”

“Loved how genuinely hospitable and real this lodging felt! Not to mention the warm and welcoming owner, the spectacular view of Whiteface mountain (so close that I felt that I could reach out and touch it), the majestic music on arrival, and the oodles of personality in every inch of it.......the likes of which is so missing in the cookie-cutter lodgings that we are so accustomed to! It is an experience to stay here and I am grateful for that experience. Can't wait to return. TY, Walter!! ……
