“Enjoyed our stay - beautiful location in glorious weather!! ☀️ Just a few extra touches would have made all the difference, such as upgraded amenities in our room (providing tissues, magnifying mirror, better quality toiletries etc) and more varied dining and breakfast menu options, otherwise a fairly standard 4 star hotel. Biggest issue was the creaky floor above our bedroom, sounded like the elephants were having a dance!! All in all however, we would definitely stay there again 😊”

“This is a beautiful property and well worth a visit. Despite my train arriving after check-in, it was very easy to access my room. The room was a good size and very clean. The hostess is friendly and extremely accommodating. If you use public transportation, be aware that the property is near Pulpit Hill, so there is some steep walking. However, buses do serve this area, and you can get a taxi. I came to Scotland to hike, so the uphill walk was a welcome part of the trip. The house was less……

“Very comfortable apartment. High level of cleanliness and good furnishings. Bed super comfortable, useful dressing room. Large bathroom with shower; toiletries provided. Excellent location; 5 mins from railway station, buses and ferries. Very close to supermarket and food hall. Beautiful views from Pulpit Hill and McCaigs Tower. “This is an old hotel. It's used by tour groups. That tells you what to expect. Yes, it is a bit dated but the rooms are fine and the staff are absolutely lovely. Breakfast is good and generous. Oban is full of very expensive hotel rooms in the season and I was very happy with the rate Expedia gave me. It's right by the bus and train stations and very near the ferries. It's fine and I'd stay again ”

“Ett äldre mysigt litet hotell. Vi hade tur som fick ett rum på 3:e våningen för det finns ingen hiss. Litet rum men rent och mycket skön säng. Toppen med badkar som vi passade på att nyttja. Vi åt frukost sista morgonen och den var god och väl tilltagen, dock ganska dyr. Ägaren jätterar och charmig och serviceminded. Läget perfekt. Vi saknade fri Wi-Fi men ett ställe nära (LuLu) hade bra uppkoppling så en drink och lite surfing blev bra.”

“The Scots liegt an einer Einbahnstrasse in der Nähe des Zentrums von Oban und es ist sehr ruhig dort. Zu Fuss ist alles Sehenswerte von Oban sehr gut zu erreichen. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich. Für uns hat es dort gepasst.”

“This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The condition of the room was extremely poor and absolutely not worth the price. What was most unacceptable was that the room I was given looked nothing like the photos shown on the booking website. Instead of a standard room on the main floors, I was placed in one of two attic rooms, which were dark, cramped, and completely unsuitable for use as hotel accommodation.
