“This is a really nice lakeside cottege. My family had an excellent stay. The location is really great but I would note that Lakeshore Drive can get quite busy - backing out of the driveway required patience at times. Great views of the lake. Mallets Bay is HEAVILY populated with moorings and marinas so this is not a secluded corner of the lake in summertime, it is busy and bustling. The place is well furnished and well equiped. “We absolutely loved our stay at the Highland Cottage. The check in process could not have been easier, we were greeted to such a clean space with homemade cookies waiting for us. The cottage does so much with the space, it felt so comfortable! It was incredibly well stocked with a full spice rack, pots, pans, butter, extra bedding, games. Everything you could want and more. “Perfect home for a couple of friends, maybe 3, to explore the Lake Placid area. Only 20-30 minutes from great hikes, Whiteface, John Brown Farm, Mt. Van Hoevenberg, Lake Saranac. A short walk to ice cream, pizza, and just a little farther to downtown LP. Host was very responsive and home is sufficiently equipped. My friend and I had a very nice stay.”

“We stayed at the”Blackhaus” January 19-23. The house was perfect for our 3 teenage boys and my wife and I. It is a bit off the road which offers serenity and peace. The house is well appointed and met all of our needs. It is located just about 8 minutes from whiteface ski resort and about 22 minutes to lake placid. I Will definitely stay here again. ”
