“The Old Rose and Crown is in a quiet location on the edge of the Lickey Hills surrounded by grass and trees. It is easy to reach from the M5. The room was well set out with comfortable bed, sofa and chairs, and en suite. The only downside was that no food is provided on site but there are a couple of pub / restaurants within 10 mins walk of the hotel. “It is a beautiful, historic building across the street from the Swan and Royal Shakespeare Theatres and next door to an historic pub. Everything is walkable in Stratford. We took a great walking tour from the beautiful park that included the church Shakespeare attended and is buried in. One note, there is no elevator in the hotel and our room was on the 3rd floor. “We stayed at the Hotel Du Vin on our wedding night. We checked in online which was a very quick and simple process. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We had a suitcase which we wanted to take to the hotel prior to checking in.
