“Best place to get away from all the city CHAOS in Washington, DC!”

“We spent Easter weekend at Sunny Streams with our daughter’s family and really enjoyed this charming and comfortable house. Each couple had their own floor with TV rooms and baths. The kids (3 and 8) loved their bunkbeds, and spend a good amount of time in the well-maintained “hotpool”. We were close to Harper’s Ferry, but it was way too buggy for us to stay long. Enjoyed exploring Antietam, and returning to watch the sunset with drinks on the front deck. Tons of games available for the……

“The positives: Stayed for five days. The cabin itself is adorable, inside I felt cozy and warm. The host has the place well stocked with kitchenware and utensils, towels, bedding, herbs and spices, etc. The bed and furniture were comfy. I loved the climate control system and bathroom/shower. The host was on point with communications, very fast to help me make my booking decision and at checkout, so that consistency was awesome. It felt clean, especially for such a rustic place!Internet……

“Loved the stay, our host answered calls promply and was so considerate. We loved the woodstove, grew up with one, loved the smell, loved still being close to stores,restaurants, and plenty of wooded area just beautiful. ”

“Our overall experience was nice and relaxing place to be. However, during the cold months. The second floor was warm enough to sleep, but the first floor was very cold, especially when it gets down to 19 at night when there’s no heat because all the heat travels to the second floor/loft. There was a space heater, but didn’t realize it until after we left. The host was easy to get a hold of through messages. The only recommendation I would say is maybe put a firebox insert in the fireplace to……

“This place was perfect for us. Secluded and quiet area, great history, and great amenities. It’s definitely a historic cabin and may not be suitable for everyone, especially those who are taller than around 5’9”, or those with physical handicaps. For us it was perfect. The managers were great and communicated with us any time we asked questions. Highly recommend. ”
