“A beautiful cabin surrounded in rich, forest with hiking trails. The property located is tucked away, which makes you feel secluded. Its an amazing and calm experience. The other campers were kind and said hello, when passing by. Fresh food markets nearby. Great nearby cities for more exploration. This was the best and safest experience in a cabin. The maintenance and upkeep is noticeable and I felt special staying in this cabin. This was an epic time away from home. Thank you. ”

“This cabin was perfect for our family vacation. It was very clean and the perfect size for us. We enjoyed seashell hunting at the private beach! We spent a lot of time at Acadia National Park and towns around there, all less than an hour away. We would definitely stay again if in the area!”

“The cabin was very charming. It had everything we needed. One thing they should do is update gps location because it takes you to a different entrance. Other than that it was a great place to stay. ”

“Lovely cabin in the woods. Easy access to Arcadia NP and Bar Harbor with none of the noise and crowds you see in those places. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and peaceful. ”

“We stayed at the Boathouse for our honeymoon and it was everything we wanted and more. The space is rustic yet comfortable and has a kitchenette that allowed us to make breakfast in the mornings and enjoy coffee and tea alongside our favorite feature, the wood stove. The shower had hot water and the outhouse was comfortable. We were able to unplug from it all and left feeling so rejuvenated. Hope to be back soon!”

“My week at Acadia National Park was amazing and this quaint cabin, which is steps from the park itself and trails, was everything as listed. It was clean, newer and quiet. I was on a solo trip, but it could easily sleep 4 or 6 people with the loft. The inside is roomy with a single bathroom with shower and a full kitchen, and the outside offered a grill and fire pit (stocked plentifully with wood to burn). It's about a 10 minute drive to the nearest town and is on the quieter side of the island,……

“The stay was fine and the host a nice enough guy. However, just to lay out some facts: - The primary picture of the shed was taken before the units 1 and 2 were hung on the outside. The unit is half of that and you share a wall with another guest where you can hear everything they say or do. - The shed is about 50 yards from the primary house and about 50 feet from another structure that is an active construction site. - In order to turn on the AC, you have to stand on an old fold out wooden……

“This place was clean, quiet, and cozy, tucked into a wooded area. It’s just a 40 minute drive to Acadia and even closer to other nature areas. We loved our week long stay and appreciated the laundry facilities! ”

“We have stayed at the Hobby Horse several times and with each visit, it feels more like our "second home." The cottage is always clean, comfortable and has everything you need in the kitchen. The town of Surry provides a perfect base camp location to enjoy surroundings from Acadia National Park, Ellsworth, Blue Hill and Belfast. This year we attended the Blue Hill Fair and it did not disappoint. A few consistent highlights for us include: Perry's Lobster Company, Pugnuts, Fogtown Brewery……

“Stayed in high end and low end places. Normally don’t care about most things and just leave a good review, until something really irks me. So I’ll start with main thing. Needed to foam roll after long days of driving so did so on the rug. Now the light sucks and I didn’t pay too much attention. Normally I don’t have allergies but started itching and there was a really strong smell of pet dander. With poor light quality, wood walls, and a dark rug I didn’t notice the state of rug. Well our dog……
