“My wife and I and our adult son stayed 10 nights in July/August for a nearby family gathering. The lodge was beautiful, spacious (bigger than we needed!), clean, comfortable, quiet and very well equipped -- we were easily able to prepare lasagne for 14 in the kitchen. The location is quiet with convenient access to nearby activities and amenities, but it all requires some driving. Unfortunately a combination of heat and Canadian wildfire smoke kept us from enjoying the extensive outside spaces……

“This home is a great location for gatherings. It has 4 comfortable bedrooms and large open accommodating common spaces. Even though it rained almost our entire time the living spaces kept us having fun together at the large tables and great room style TV viewing room. We would have loved to have used the kayaks and canoe. Next time!”

“Been to the area many times, first stay at this property. The home is very nice--full of everything you'll need for a week of vacation. It's nice that the home is so well stocked! Everything was clean and welcoming. The host was easy to communicate with. Chippewa Flowage is an absolutely beautiful body of water. It's mostly wilderness and wildlife abounds. If you're staying here, it's a waste to not have a boat. The home sits on a narrow, quiet cove, which is nice, but you won't get a real……

“We had a very nice week at Mia’s Black Dog Lodge. Everything about the house was top notch. Seeing many eagles around the lake was a huge bonus! One even landed in a tree next to the dock. Fishing from the dock was great for the little ones. Unfortunately the algae prevented us from getting into the water. This is a wonderful location and the lake is beautiful. ”
