“no frills but nice staff”

“Unique themed rooms, beautiful views of Lake Michigan, country charm, friendly owners, delicious breakfast. ”

“The temperature control unit made noise. We were ok with it but do know some would not be. Coffee maker didn't work. Hubby went next door to sister hotel and got us some Everything else was perfect really like the layout of the room. Spacious has more than what might really need.”

“If I could do six stars I would. Booked the trip for my parents for their anniversary and they absolutely loved it. Clean sheets and beautiful cabin. Was told the owners showed up each day my parents were there and offered to serve them breakfast as well. My parents greatly enjoyed the place and said that they would be back. ”

“Went to check out the breakfast. Was not impressed. Been to many hotels that have hot breakfast. Eggs, bacon, sausage & potatoes. Waffle maker and many other breakfast items. Coffee wasn't even good. Ended up going to a Family restaurant down the road. ”

“New carpet through out the hallways and in the room. Con: the sofa bedding was used and put away. When we asked for new bedding the front desk staff was confused. ”

“It was a very clean and quiet place. It was close to the beach and gas stations. Even Family Dollar was close by. The bed was comfortable and I slept great! ”

“Self check-in and easy instructions. The property is pretty new and clean. Nothing much to do on the lot but worked very well for one night sleep. The only noticeable downside is the requirement to take all the sheets and towels and the fresh out. While it's not too hard to do. For one night stay this seem to be an overhead to ask”

“It was very comfortable and felt like staying at my grandma’s house. Their restaurant was also excellent. The only input I could give was the mattress was a little too firm for my husband and it would be nice to have bedside lighting and nightstands on both sides of the king bed. Delicious coffee and fresh home made bakery awaited us in the mornings. A lovely stay. Thanks!”

“Our stay in Chanticleer Guest House was amazing. It is everything you expect to spend a wonderful couple getaway. The decoration was outstanding, and the surroundings were simply gorgeous and calm. And the breakfast, delicious! Chanticleer is a true hidden treasure in Door County. We definitely will back! Telma y Emilio.”

“White Lace Inn staff were friendly and knowledgeable about things to do in the area. The room was nice, clean and cozy. Breakfast was very good. Location was nice because you can walk to shops and restaurants.”

“Great staff who made it an easy check in. We got a room with a jacuzzi. There seemed to be wax spilt in the jacuzzi which wasn’t visible until we started filling it with hot water. We decided not to tell them right away because it wasn’t a big deal to us. We told them in the morning and they seemed apologetic. I believe if we told them earlier they would have tried to fix it. Amazing staff. I would recommend here if you are looking for a nice calm spot with a nice pool. ”
