“We had a wonderful experience during our stay. The house was beautiful, very comfortable, and located in a peaceful area — perfect for relaxing. Everything was clean and well-prepared when we arrived. Kathy was an amazing host: kind, attentive, and always making sure we had everything we needed. Her warm hospitality really made our stay even better. We’d definitely love to come back. Thank you for everything!”

“After arriving late in the evening and realizing the location was undesirable but continued to the space that clearly had been created decades ago or with the scraps of a demolition project, the state of the bathroom was unsettling with hairs and obviously not wiped surfaces and an in scrubbed toilet, not to mention the shower door with splatter and grime along with more hairs. The last guests dirty underwear in the drawer was the last straw and I did not stay that night or feel comfortable……

“Great stay. We spent the week in Pasadena for the Rose Bowl parade and football game. Having this pool house to come back to each day made the trip that much better. The host was extremely responsive and friendly. My kids loved the hot tub and my wife loved the fireplace in the house. We had a great time and can’t wait to come back.”

“The home is tucked into the foothills amidst beatiful surroundings that provide a wonderful respite from the city. The location is peaceful, the lodging is well-appointed, the accomodations are comfortable and inviting, and the owners are lovely. I'll definitely be staying here again on a future trip to see my family in Pasadena!”

“My stay at Expansive Mountain Gem was overall pleasant, comfortable, and met my expectations. The biljard’s game room was an excellent addition to the property, as it entertained both kids and parents. However, it’s important to mention that the neighboring property was quite an eyesore. The adjacent terrain was cluttered with old cars, containers, and unused machinery, which detracted from the otherwise serene environment. While this didn't affect the stay directly, it’s something to be aware……

“When we arrived, the house is very cold. We turned on the air conditioner, it need about 6-8 hours to make the house warm, so my husband caught a cold. The room with three beds apparently is attic, its bedside lamp doesn’t work and the sockets have no power, no air conditioner in that room. Kitchen looks dirty. Really a horrible experience. Will not choose this house anymore.”
