“Very easy instructions to get in using the key safe box in the porch. A choice of breakfasts that is sent before you arrive you just had to let Heather have by 8.30 the night before by txting on WhatsApp very easy. Lovely clean room with shower, loo and tv. Great WiFi. Breakfast was delicious and I had different options and Heather kindly stocked up the milks tea and coffee as I was there for 5 days. Quiet area within walking distance of the train station 10 mins max and a lovely marina across……

“The staff was so very kind from the moment we checked in til the very end. They were helpful in giving suggestions, directions and just overall kindness. The restaurant was delicious as well (the sticky toffee pudding is a must try!) The bar downstairs is great as well. I would suggest getting the breakfast included in your stay as it is convenient since there aren’t many cafes/restaurants open that early around. The hotel has a lot of a historic charm about it yet still well maintained and……

“We had a twin room with a view of the sea and it was clean enough. There was black mould on the window frame. However the TV had no signal and although there was a telephone there was nothing to plug it into. We complained and they moved us to a lovely family room. No sea view but the staff were very helpful and kind ”

“We arrived to no electric at the hotel due to storm Bert. Fortunately the electric wasn’t off for long, and we were shown to our newly refurbished room. It was nicely decorated, with a large bathroom and shower cubicle. The bed was comfortable and the room warm and it was quiet. The only downside was I paid for a sea view room but did not get this. I got a room overlooking an over grown garden. ”

“Other than it being insanely hot in the hotel, it was great! Clean, comfortable, quiet, big car park, can walk into town in 10 minutes. There is their pub, a MacDonalds and Chinese restaurant on the doorstep. You can easily walk to Loch Lomond, the forest/park, pubs and shops. The hotel isn't staffed and you check in inside the pub (separate building) but it was easy and the staff there were lovely.”
