“Catherine is a wonderful hostess, the place is clean and comfortable and beautifully presented. The farm is in the middle of nowhere but within short distances to villages with pubs or the park and ride to take you to York. The room had everything we needed and it was spacious, the bed was comfortable, tea and coffee provided with fresh milk available in the kitchenette. “This is a super little hotel hidden away from everything, an excellent place if you want to be alone. It’s an old building but doesn’t suffer from it. The staff are all excellent if a little forgetful in the restaurant. The only thing which lets it’s down slightly is the food. It’s not bad by any means, and some things are lovely, but it’s not quite 5*, the breakfast in particular was poor. I’d definitely recommend a stay here though. ”
