“Very clean and comfortable facility ”

“We've stayed here twice now and the staff are always friendly and very helpful. The rooms are great for the price and the hotel is in a fantastic location just up from the village and surrounded by picturesque places to walk. ”

“As always the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly (Shirley was lovely: smiley, chatty, courteous and efficient) Food, as ever, was very good and as real ale drinkers, we appreciated the good beer on offer. Breakfast was excellent, but the coffee was very weak and not to our taste For the first time, we stayed overnight. Although the room was fine, it felt a little underwhelming after the surroundings in the restaurant. Mould in the bathroom was unsightly.”

“The hotel actually has two sections on two sides of the bridge. We were expecting to be on the water side but was disappointed. The room only has a small window facing the back of the hotel. Nothing impressive at all. The staffs were not helpful on anything. We were asked by the front desk to go across the bridge to make booking at the hotel restaurant. ”

“Will definately stay again, lovely rooms with very comfy beds and a great view. Check in/out was very straightforward, staff very polite and accommodating. Breakfast was lovely too with a good range to chose from on menu.”

“Good, solid place. It really is a monastery with large grounds and impressive buildings. Welcome was very friendly and helpful. The property is dated, but in fairly good order. Bed was good. Breakfast was cereal and toast type. I was hoping for full breakfast but was not offered. Mirfield also a nice town/village, just avoid school closing time as very busy”

“Very beautiful grounds, easy and lots of parking. Public areas very nice, rooms tired!! Definitely need refurbishing. Food nice and lots of choice of drink. Breakfast nice enough. The staff are incredibly lovely, helpful and always smiling, they are a massive asset to this hotel!! ”

“Great welcome and communication by the people running the house, its tucked away in a quiet place with locked and safe parking behind a gate. Rooms were very clean and comfy but I didn't have any food which was kindly on offer so can't comment on that. Very friendly welcome.”

“Very honest, pleasant and helpful staff. By mistake I left a backpack with very important personal belongings in the hotel canteen and left. A staff discovered and handed to reception to keep it safely. I drove away from hotel and realized the missing of backpack till 2 hours later. Heartfelt thanks !!!”
