“30 minutes before trying to check in at HomeGate Hotel in Louisville, I made reservation online to speed up check in. This was well after normal check in time around 7 pm. We had a service animal with us. We were informed that there would be a $500 extra charge as well as the $100 cleaning fee. I explained that the dog is registered. The manager was very rude when I tried to explain that the ADA covers service animals without extra charges. Never got key and was told he could not refund……

“This place was a refinery worker's dream! Rates are great! Super quiet day and night. This is "basic motel." You have a microwave and fridge. The water is high-pressure and HOT! A/C will freeze you out and the heating will sweat you out! No bed bugs. Sheets, pillows, and towels are crisp white. Beds are comfy. Never seen any motel as clean as this one. “Very unique stay at a remodeled school turned hotel/ wedding venue. Rooms were nicely decorated, up to date, and super clean. Free treats upon arrival. Quiet as we were the only guests. Only negative is the milk offered for breakfast was expired and no one was around for us to let them know. Would still stay again.”

“It was great. I have stayed in many "inexpensive" motels. This one was very good. Staff friendly, helpful. Room was clean and had everything needed. (even had good pillows, didn't have to get mine out of the car) Would stay again.”
