“Can't praise the staff enough, helpful, friendly, accomodating, and the room was lovely. We both had the full English breakfast which was superbly cooked and high quality, and check in was easy and convenient. The only downside was that the mattress was just too firm for both myself and my wife which lead to a quite uncomfortable nights sleep, the staff kindly offered to switch rooms however they all have the same mattress on the beds so this wouldn't have improved the situation, and we decided……

“Fab location with stunning view from the breakfast room. Near enough to walk into Coniston main town within 5-10 minutes. Great that parking was available. Pub just across the road serving good food. Tracey was friendly and amenable. Great breakfast. Compact room but perfectly adequate. ”

“We stayed for one night at the Woolpack. Lovely location, nice food, very comfy beds. Our only downside was breakfast. It starts at 0800am, a few guests had arrived then and sat down. Staff did not seem ready. Still bringing out juice, milk, glasses etc… Did not take food order until nealy 0815 and the food did not arrive until 0845. ”

“The hotel could not have been at a better location on the lake, a very large bar area with terrace overlooking the lake, service was excellent and the room was larger than expected, the breakfast was excellent and we ate twice in the hotel and tad expensive for what it was, we had our dog who could accompany us almost everywhere in the hotel, we enjoyed our stay and would return. ”
