“Pictures don’t do it justice! The cottage is absolutely immaculate, clean, beautifully decorated, every detail so well thought out. The host was so helpful with touring the area, suggesting restaurants, shops and so easy to get in touch with. The kitchen is set up with everything you need to cook, bbq, keurig coffee machine (pods, tea, honey, sugar, cream), host put eggs from their family farm in the fridge for us, brought us a pot to cook lobster:) Bedrooms outfitted with high quality bedding,……

“You could not ask for a better host than Claire! She was so kind to us during our stay. The house was just as described and the perfect place for us to stay for our 30th anniversary trip to Nova Scotia. The views were amazing, the beds were so comfortable and we enjoyed the cozy fire. The deck was the perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening. Nearby Polly's Cove is a beautiful hike. We highly recommend this property!”

“Had my bday getaway with friends here it was awesome even in the winter. Says up to 6 guests and we had 5 and it was very crowded, not enoigh dinner table seats for everyone and living room seating was not for us all to sit and watch tv. Other than that it was great thoigh! ”

“My husband and I stayed at this lakeside retreat in early May. Our son in law's family have a cottage down the road. While we spent most of our day in the other cottage, we enjoyed the peace and quiet of the Lakeside retreat. It is very well appointed and comfortable. We enjoyed working on a few puzzles and listening to music on the Google Home Sound system. We hope to come again one day with our granddaughters and swim in the Medway river and Ponhook lake.”

“The cottage was comfortable and well set up. We will definitely consider going back: it's a great distance for a weekend getaway from Halifax, and the amenities are nice (that sauna!). The only issue we found (because we went to curl up and read books together!) was that the lighting in the main space was not great: a couple of floor lamps would have been great. ”
