“Stunning property in a newly restored old house. Beautiful, spacious and well-appointed room. The common areas were comfortable and there was a lovely balcony. The breakfast which was beautifully served on the balcony was beyond compare. Local, fresh, and delicious Cretan treats. Archanes is close to Heraklion and the palace of Knossos and had plenty of dining options. We were in Greece for three weeks and our night at Carpe Diem was probably our best stay. Can’t recommend highly enough. ”

“Very nice and clean hotel! Reception was closed but I got very detailed instructions before arrival on how to retreive my key and find the room. I was also gifted sweets and wine. I loved that the fridge was bigger than usual hotel fridges/minibar. I also got the breakfast, which was served at a nearby café, and I got my breakfast served at the table. Very cozy place and everything was tasty! Highly recommend this hotel!”

We stayed here one night, and were very impressed by the studio, it was functional, beautiful and in rather pristine condition for a rental studio. We were more exhausted than we anticipated, and the hostess noticed and offered us without us asking to get some extra sleep until she had cleaned the other studios. We were pleasantly surprised with multiple factors and would without a doubt return & recommend……
