“Everything was as indicated in listing but being there was even better. Amazing location amazing property original FLW furnishings but complimented with the luxury an original FLW home lacked. The master bedroom and bath were roomy and dreamy. The whole house is tastefully appointed. Room for each of the four of us to spread out and be comfortable. We went in mid December and temperatures were perfect. Of our five days there, we loved touring the island and a successful whale watching trip but……

They keep it in pristine condition ( hence a few house rules) Being right on the ocean, beautiful pool and the house has every amenities. Waking up to turtles in front every day. You do need to drive for restaurant, shopping etc. The little store near by really does not have much and very limited premade sandwiches so I would not count on food next door. “We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Hale o Malina! The home was clean and a perfect space for a mid-size family (we had 7 in our party). The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook our meals there. We ate nearly every meal on the BEAUTIFUL wrap around porch that overlooked the ocean. “We have been to the Big Island many times and staying Waipio Gardens was one of the best trips we've ever had there. It is a beautiful property that provided serenity, great hiking and amazing beach time. The house is nestled in the jungle in the valley with gorgeous plants, fruit trees, lots of birds and even wild horses. We picked and enjoyed fresh oranges, grapefruit and papaya. “Wow, what an amazing house! The rooms were spacious and easily accommodated our large family. Beautiful sunshine poured into the house which made coffee in the morning and drinks in the evenings on the many lanai's very enjoyable. The back yard was peaceful and full of song birds, but what I loved most was being able to walk to the ocean in under a minute! This is definitely the nicest place we have stayed on the island and would definitely stay here again.”
