“Malta is an exotic place for me. The hotel is located very near the airport, with about 15 minutes of walk. A taxi ride would be only 5 minutes. But directions are not clear and almost all the buildings were closed and looked all the same so it was rather difficult to find the place. The young attendant at the front desk was kind and polite. But his duty hours were between 6am and 3pm only. That means any one arriving after 3pm needs to follow the clues left on the door to open the gate and……

“Wonderful hotel and fantastic staff who were happy and cheerful every morning and throughout the day. I don’t know how they managed. Peter was exceptionally pleasant and great to chat to. Breakfast was a la carte and totally amazing - gorgeous food and big quantities. I hope that I will be back within the next year.”

“IMMACULATELY CLEAN unique property with lovely touches. Fantastic breakfast options. Nice pool area. Comfy beds and quality bedding. Sizeable room with balcony. Loverly hosts who provided us with a snack for the airport due to our early departure. Couldn’t recommend this property more highly for convenience (only about 7 minute leisurely walk to Mdina) comfort and friendliness. ”

“A lovely old refurbished house on a quiet street just off the water front of Sliema. Breakfast good, very nice staff. Some guests had problems with the room key cards. Sadly there is no social space and only one hard chair in the room. However the rooms were good and i enjoyed my stay.”

“The Lemontree Relais is a pleasant little hotel. Its facilities are basic, although has a nice pool to sun yourself. I have no criticism of it, although it is a taxi ride away from anything you want to do.”

“I booked the hotel for 2 nights. Birkirkara is probably not the city people would come visit while in Malta, but surely this hotel will attract some. I have been upgraded to try out this not so long opened hotel and i was very much please. The bedroom was spacious, comfortable and offering all the needed amenities. For being in malta for business, a gym is a must and that one, small as it may be, has everything. Even speakers :) the staff are very friendly and the breakfast yummy! I have noted a……

“We had the most wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Matias B&B on the beautiful island of Gozo. Breakfast was amazing with fresh local sweets and bread in addition to cooked to order. Victor is a wealth of information- and it was fascinating hearing about the rich local history and traditions from him. We will definitely come back!!”
