“We stayed here for two nights. Very charming hotel. It looks and feels like a manor house. We really enjoyed our stay there and liked our room. Very comfortable and clean. No air conditioning but there are plenty of windows that open and a lovely fresh breeze comes in. The room has a kettle and tea making as well as a safe. Power outlet next to the bed which is of course handy for charging your phone at night. It is a large room with a lounge area. Breakfast is good. Especially the scrambled……

“The reception staff were wonderful - nothing was too much trouble. I left my phone charger at home and they lent me one for the weekend. The room was a single and clean, although the decor was dated (the description did say it was a Victorian building). I had breakfast both mornings at The Galley Restaurant which was an all you can eat. The food was hot and fresh and had everything you would expect for a buffet restaurant. “Location is great for the town and if you cant find any parking on the street there is a carpark about 5min walk away @ £3 - 24hrs.
Property is currently up for sale and needs a little work but the bathroom and kitchen are relatively new and everything else has had a lick of paint just needs a bit of modernising and the garden needs work and isnt secure at the back meaning the dog needed to be let out on a lead every time but did us for the short break we had.”

“It was cheap - you get what you pay for. Shared bathroom and kitchen, which was expected based on price and photos, but not clear in details and another guest hadn’t assumed this and caused a big scene on check in. Wasn’t dirty, but could have been cleaner. Beds were comfy, but sheets smelt damp. Air con didn’t work in our room or another room that was empty. Free parking. Walking distance of the town centre which has takeaways. Kinda average stage. But cheapest around”
