“I was blown away by this property and the property managers. Words don't do it justice. It's adorable, unique, clean, peaceful and there is something enjoyable for everyone of all ages. From the downstairs bookstore just casually available in the living room, the fireplace, to the field of flowers in the back, and the screened in porch, to the refurbished bathtub reading nook. It was a magical place on a magical island and the perfect stay! ”

“The house was nice and the owner was great to deal with, she provided a lot of local knowledge on things to do. I will say that it is on a surprisingly busy road. But the horses were great and the family loved to give them apple slices and carrots. Overall I would recommend it to anyone looking for something like this. Also it’s not too far from Bar Harbor and Arcadia.”

“It's a lovely home and comfortable,perfect for a Maine vacation. As with most older homes with older furnishings there is always extra mantenance needed over the years (having grown up in a house in Uk that was Elizabethan at one end and Georgian at the other I can attest to that!) A suggestion would be to address the dust on the drapes, especially upstairs, and most importantly the dust collection on the window blinds, especially at their lower edges. “Heavily misrepresented surrounded on three sides by construction equipments and various piles of refuse. Shed is divided in two, with construction porta potty as only restroom. Shower set up is illegally with dirty shower water going directly onto the forest floor, an environmental hazard. Entire area was dirty and porta potty was full. Was forced to find a different room last minute because the host was completely non responsive to multiple Messages and attempts to reach them. Only plus is that……

“This property was conveniently close to Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, and other area attractions. It was perfect for the six of us with three bedrooms, six beds, two full bathrooms, and a nice kitchen and living area. There was also a deck with a grill. Really, the only downside was a lack of air conditioning, which we could have used during our August visit.”
