It was a short walk into town to many restaurants and a grocery store, and a short drive to things like the national park and local beaches. Every morning between 5:30 and 6 we had monkeys in the trees that we sat and watched off the balcony. And the pool was a big plus. We all had a great time!”

“The house and property are paradise. Relaxing in the beautiful pool while troops of howlers, capuchins, and squirrel monkeys pass by is the ultimate immersion into the beauty that is CR. We also spotted sloths (one with a baby!), agoutis, an anteater, iguanas, cane toads, Motmots and other beautiful birds right from Jungle Roost. “This house. Wow. It’s a beautiful house, but on top of that we saw SO many animals - monkeys galore (capuchin and howler), toucans, macaws, and many other beautiful birds. Fair warning though: With the rainforest literally in your backyard, you will hear lots of animals sounds. Howler monkeys scared us to death the first night until we realized what it was. “Everything went very smoothly with the process. We were able to text the concierge when we were on an hour away and she met us at the house to show us around. The house was spacious, clean and had all the supplies we needed including washer/dryer and soap. Good jungle views. We saw macaws at a distance but no monkeys. Pool was perfect The driveway is so steep but my husband is an excellent driver and made it up with our 12 passenger 2nd rental van. I personally would not have had the guts to……
