“I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel for so many reasons. We live it so much that 4 days later we returned to this hotel again! I also will not even consider another place when returning back to Costa Rica. Kenneth at the front desk BOTH times was so pleasant and made the experience just perfect. What an employee just added to the awesome memorable time we had ! I hope whosever reads this review truly considers this establishment as it was one of the best on all my travels around the world! Thank……
“Peaceful, Authentic, and Truly Special – Santa Juana Lodge
My friend Vickie and I spent several unforgettable days at Santa Juana Lodge & Nature Reserve, and we can’t recommend it enough. Getting there was part of the adventure—a scenic four-hour drive from the airport, with the final stretch on a gravel road through rain and cows! But once we arrived, we were welcomed into a peaceful paradise.
Our private casita had stunning views of the rainforest and distant Pacific, and we were surrounded……
“We loved everything about our stay at Playa Espadilla Hotel and Gardens. Most especially the staff who were so incredibly kind and helpful. We would most certainly stay here again”
“We loved our stay here. Our room had plenty of space, it was clean, the kitchen was well equipped and there was great seating in front and back of our unit. We saw macaws, tucans and squirrel monkeys from the front and back patio areas! What a treat. ”
“We had an amazing time at the Igloo Beach Hotel. The staff is extremely friendly and everybody was very helpful, especially Emily. The food in the restaurant is delicious. There is a beautiful pool right in the center of the hotel. It is surrounded by the jungle and we saw beautiful birds and monkeys throughout the day. The property and rooms are kept clean and tidy. It’s only about a five minute walk to a local beach. It is about a 15 minute walk to the town of Manuel Antonio, where you can……
“Lovely room. One of my favorites of the stat. Woke to monkeys every morning!!! Their motto is "Still more.monkeys than people". Saw sloths on the grounds too and the adult pool has incredible ocean views. Very unique place. More animals.here than in the park!”
“Nice hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. Oscar and a receptionist whose name I didn’t get were particularly helpful. Easy walk to restaurants and grocery stores. Parking available and a fridge in the very spacious room. We would stay here again.”
“L'emplacement de l'hôtel était agréable, mais notre chambre donnait directement sur la terrasse, ce qui manquait cruellement d'intimité. De plus, le mobilier était assez vieux. ”
“Hotel is along the main street. While it isn’t flashy from the street view, once inside it feels like a magical jungle paradise and feels safe and secluded. There are plenty of walkable dining/shopping options. If you prefer to avoid driving from the resort to Manuel Antonio park, we were able to walk there in about 35min and avoid the hassle of driving/parking, which is a great perk! Hotel breakfast was included and had a variety of good options. We would definitely stay again!”
“Tuvimos un inconveniente la primera noche que llegamos y al día siguiente después de acercarnos a recepción la gerente nos hizo los cambios necesarios para que nuestra estancia las siguientes noches fueran magníficas
”
“Amazing property with attention to every detail. Loved having our own concierge to help with questions. Service to the beach was helpful and appreciated. Loved the restaurant by the pool and especially the pool. The sloth tour was incredible that is why we stayed at Tulemar. Loved all the monkeys as well.
Stay minimum 3 days to see wildlife and enjoy the beach. We were warned that our room was by the street and was noisy. But it was very noisy with motorcycles. But they stopped around 10:30.……
“Good location with nice swimming pool surrounded by trees, where you can see monkeys, toucan etc. Rooms are a bit outdated with old shower cap and old airco (not very effective by 35 degrees outside). Breakfast was good, but no coffee or tea is included - for cup of coffee or tea you have to pay 2,5 USD and for extra slice of bread - 1,5 USD. ”
“Overall a pleasant stay and good value. Helpful staff, lovely pool, communal kitchen area were nice. Lack of hot water in the shower and whirlpool was disappointing. Loud 'happy hour' music was rather obnoxious, but turned down upon request. Interesting other guests made for good interactions.”
“El hotel estaba limpio y bien mantenido pero viejo. El cuarto no cerraba la puerta del balcón y nuestro baño olía muy mal. Comida deliciosa, muchas opciones de comida sin gluten y vegetariana. Los meseros pese que educados, no fueron tan buenos como los del resto de Costa Rica. La gente se recepción muy amables. ”
