“It’s the middle of summer and no fan is provided. I asked and they never responded. They saw my message on WA but chose to ignore me. Then when I called because their lock box was broken they answered the phone straight away. This property is LOUD. Friday night people walking by talking loudly and the adjacent busy road is also very loud. The stairs are STEEP. Not great for young children but we made it work. “Had an excellent stay at the Old Town House. The location is perfect for anyone visiting Margate as you are a short 15min walk away from the train station and right in the old town centre next to great coffee shops, restaurants and more. “This house was really stunning - so different from the usual holiday houses which can be quite bland. Beautifully furnished and decorated, in a lovely quiet neighbourhood with a beautiful view of the sea. The pool and sauna are a real treat and as we were lucky with the weather, we were able to truly make the most of the pool! The house was spotless and provided all the simple basics - washing up liquid, tea, coffee, sugar, foil etc. The owners were prompt to answer my messages both before and……

Lovely, Clean, New Hotel with a rich history

"The hotel has recently been refurbished but still has the ‘old’ side which you can select the room for stay if you are interested in this historic experience. Those rooms will be available for cheaper prices as well. I chose to stay at the ‘newer’ side for my accommodation this time as they are usually more comfortable for a good night sleep. I was correct and the room looks amazing and spacious too! What a wonderful refurbishment with great designs. Staff were also very helpful and friendly with the hospitality service. Their breakfast or dining area seems lovely although I took it outside instead as there’s so much to do and eat outside the hotel as well. I would loved to stay here once again if I come round for a visit once again. "
