We were only there for one night, but if you are going to book a shuttle to the airport with the front desk, make sure you confirm 1000x, get it all in writing and then confirm when you arrive because they will forget, and then you are left scrambling. The closest metro station is Vittorio Emanuele, but we had some extra walking from Roma Termini station (about 15-20mins while carrying luggages), so as to avoid chaos in the metro in Rome. Good location, most sights can be reached on foot like colosseum, Termini train station, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, etc. The surrounding was quiet and convenient, you can easily find supermarkets, bus stop, restaurants.
