“Fantastic view, cant say enough about sunrise and sunset. Nice away from it all spot close enough to places to go fora really good balance. The road in isa back road on the cape going any faster than 5mph will rattle you around but totally worth the slow roll in. ”

Despite the bad weather cards we were dealt with, (a lot of rain and wind) we easily walked to the Campground and marvelled at the uniqueness of the gingerbread cottages and found some good rainy day hang-out's that I wasn't aware of (especially loved Behind The Bookstore & ventured out on a little bit on a rainy night to listen to live music at Nonan's) The check-in was super easy and we took advantage of the outdoor……

“Spectacular view of the ocean from the spacious deck, especially at sunset. (My partner teared up from the sheer beauty when she first saw it!) Also enjoyed the zero-gravity chair on the deck, and the binoculars. The interior is thoughtfully decorated, and we appreciated the investment in the additional half-bath (especially when we entertained a family of four for dinner). Kitchen is well-supplied (yay, multiple cutting boards!), and we were grateful for the variety of pillows with each……

“We had a nice stay at the cottage. The cottage itself was a little bit more rustic than we had anticipated based on photos and description, but worked for us. It’s in a nice setting in the woods that offers a decent amount of privacy, the trade off being it’s at least a 15 min drive to most places of interest. The lofted bedroom area was nice but may be difficult for those with little ones as the sound carries from the downstairs and there is no door to close. There was also no curtain on the……

The kitchen is very well equipped for those who want to cook, including such thoughtful touches as coffee. creamer, and condiments. Everything was immaculately clean. Location was perfect. “This property is a peaceful retreat for us when visiting family - we call it the overflow cottage - but it is so tastefully appointed, every little details, that is a soooo relaing when we get "home" in the evening. There are so many nice details, it is a wonder. We love the remoteness of the off-seasn boatyard. I suspect in summer that will be busier, but the access to the water there is a bonus. We love it here and will return next year.”

“We loved our stay and the hosts Joanne and David are very kind and accommodating. The house was well laid out and nicely decorated. The setting was just gorgeous. There was lots of room for our dogs to run around. The beach access was on site and the beach walks and sunsets were breathtaking. We will definitely be back!”

Seriously, everything about my experience was beyond excellent from the booking process to meeting the owners. The pictures honestly do not do it justice. It is a beautiful cottage that is far enough away from the main house to give you all the privacy one may need/want. It is in walking distance to the Vineyard Haven ferry dock and the retail in that area. The owners were……
