“The Bull is a traditional pub. We were warmly welcomed on arrival.
The bed was comfy and shower worked well.
Breakfast had plenty of choices, including lovely fresh fruit and was cooked beautifully.
Jane is so friendly and couldn’t do enough to ensure we had a delicious breakfast

“My daughter and I spent a fantastic week at the King's Arms. They made us feel at home, helping us with whatever we needed through the week. The ambiance is cozy, yet contemporary and well-designed. The food is delicious. It's a place that feels high-class yet comfortable at once. I highly recommend the King's Arms!”
“Gorgeous rooms, very helpful staff and very accommodating when we were a little late coming in for breakfast. This is our second stay here and my only regret is not spending more time in the pub/hotel to enjoy the atmosphere. ”
“I would love to emphasise the helpfulness of the staff. My payment card kept being declined and not at anypoint they made me fell uncomfortable.
We managed tonwork towards the solution. Hence I hive a top mark for my stay. Eventhough the room was on top of a busy pub, I didnt hear a word of the crowd downstairs.
The room had a fan that helped a bit with the humid night but probably next time I will choose not the single room.

“Our go-to hotel if we need somewhere to stay before a Heathrow flight. The staff are all very friendly, food is excellent (both dinner and breakfast), plentiful parking. We stayed in an executive room this time - we liked the extra space and would book this again. Last time we were there we were helping some friends who had suffered a tragedy that day, and I managed to knock over a large G&T. Even without knowing what we were dealing with, the lady behind the bar calmly cleared up the mess and……

“Such a beautiful place! The room was just stunning and very clean. Very spacious with big bathroom and free standing bath which added a nice touch. The staff were so lovely and helpful and the food was very good although my pizza was slightly more done than I would have liked but still enjoyable. 30 seconds walk and there is a lovely place to walk down the river and watch the boats. Lovely outdoor seating area to enjoy some food and a drink. Would definitely stay here again. ”
“What a perfect first night stay in the UK! Everything about Bel & The Dragon Cookham was lovely. From the warm staff, to the quality of the food, to the great bed, to the guest-only self-serve tipples (sloe gin and whisky), everything was carefully attended to. Every staff member was helpful, esp to help us navigate on our first day. Highly recommend a stay here in one of the oldest pubs in England!”
“A wonderful older hotel and restaurant. I stayed in the tiny single room - this is not a complaint, it’s a great little room for one person.
Some people in reviews have complained about road noise - they should be realistic about their expectations. It’s an old property right next to a road. If you are someone that’s sensitive to road noise”
