I'm in my sixties now, and traveling solo means I look for places that are simple, comfortable, and easy to manage without a lot of fuss. This spot, about 450 square feet with one bedroom and bath, felt right-sized for me—nothing overwhelming, but nicely updated and cozy.Being so close to everything was a real plus. “Wow, this was one of our best stays ever at any vacation rental. Top three worldwide. What made it so great? The owners have clearly traveled and know the usual hassles, and they’ve gone out of their way to make sure guests experience none of them.Tired of places that give you one regular coffee and one decaf? Not here. We had a whole drawer of K-cups in all kinds of flavors.Hate sitting on a hotel towel at the beach? Not here. We had real beach chairs, a beach umbrella, and a cooler.Not enough……

“I took a couple of days' R&R in Mystic and my stay at Shaun's apartment was great! It's cozy but makes the most of the space: there's a wall desk that pulls down, a small outside sitting area, and lots of closet space. Shaun also provided a bowl of snacks and even milk in the fridge for my tea! The location is also great, close to lots of attractions but with a nice quiet neighborhood for morning walks. Shaun was always available and accommodating. I really enjoyed my stay, thanks!”

“This was a great place to stay. You can walk to nearly everything. The place was clean and the A/C worked great. Worth the money.”

“Our only regret is that our stay was too short - we wished we had booked an additional week! Host was very responsive to any questions, and to a minor issue we had with the tub drain. Would absolutely stay again. One note for other prospective guests: there are quite a few stairs (great for us as we have been trying to get more exercise) but perhaps not great for someone who has creaky knees. ”

“Great stay. Clean, all amenities provided, located short walk from beach. I wouldn’t call it an apartment or studio, though. It’s the size of a bedroom and includes only a bed, dresser, fridge and microwave. Not even a chair. Description made me expect a bit more but if you know the size going in, it’s a marvelous place to stay. ”
