“The Stone Cottage is absolutely charming. My son and daughter in law both had to work one day, so the basement worked out beautifully. The loft and rooms were all cozy and comfortable. Kitchen was equipped abundantly. The location next to Beacon Cafe was amazing, food was so good. Whitmers General Store with pizza and various entrees was a 3 minute walk down the quaint road. As a frequent visitor to Amish country I was looking for a new experience and Stone Cottage was a gem of a find. I……

“We had a short stay during my wife’s spring break (she’s an art teacher). We both fell in love with the cottage and the surrounding pond. Everything was glorious and the breakfast is spectacular. “We had a travel JO volleyball tournament in Sherrodsville this property was 10 min away. Super convenient to go to Eastern Ohio Sports Complex! We stayed in early April and they did not have the golf cart out of winter storage yet. But lots of pillows in the upstairs room at the top of the steps.Lots of towels and blankets stored upstairs also! Bring K-cups they had a keurig but they also provided coffee and creamer! Very accommodating. It was not right on the lake but you could see the lake……

“All was great except when we were looking for stay options you advertised pets allowed and it was not clear anywhere in your information that there was a size limit. My husband and I both read closely and saw nothing pertaining to a limit. we did not Discover until it was too late to cancel that there was a size limit. We were fortunate that you allowed us to bring our pet due to it being the off-season. Otherwise we would’ve been out a lot of money.”

“This cottage is conveniently located for visiting Akron, Cuyahoga Valley, and even Canton. We like birding and hiking, and there are many beautiful parks in this area. The cottage is comfortable and lovingly decorated. Great communication with the property manager and owner! My only complaint is not with the cottage itself, but with its description of being “steps from the lake.” While this is technically true, the steps take you to a guardrail behind which are private properties going down……

“Owner Paul was very friendly and helpful. Nice fire pit area. Owner provided an excellent Cinnamon Loaf etc. Temperature control in the house was good. We enjoyed the living room area and the TV. The house was very clean. Washer and dryer were nice to have. Beds were comfortable. Good maps and brochures about the area were helpful.”
