Situated in walking distance of a variety of breakfast and dinner places, right in the heart of a charming neighborhood. Stayed for three days with my daughter to tour colleges. “We were in town for my daughter’s graduation. The house was perfect for my family of four and were able to host another family for dinner as well. Kitchen is stocked very well, nice full sets of dishes, flatware, appliances. Everything in good condition. Comfy beds, soft sheets, very responsive helpful host. Thanks!!”

“The house overall was great. Very cute, exactly as pictured. Everything was clean. The only drawback was the back door/laundry room. The lock on the back door was kind of janky, which as women traveling was a little offputting, but i told the owner and he said he would have it fixed. Also, the back steps to the laundry room weren't very well lit and it was just awkward. Overall, we were happy. ”

“Difficulty getting into house at night upon check in. House was cold on check in. Discovered lack of bath towels; unable to use washer/dryer; kitchen very poorly stocked. Ants in kitchen and a couple in the bedrooms; bed linens smelled of body odor and or must. ; walls in bedrooms filfthy. Sticky substance on kitchen counter. Cheap contact paper noted on counters. “This place was a delight! It was super clean and comfy. All of the rooms were spacious: we could have staged a square dance in the living room! There is a countertop fancy toaster oven in the kitchen to take the place of a larger appliance. About a 12-15 minute walk to Tufts. And, the neighborhood is full of bakeries and coffee shops, and ice cream too! Marcela checked in daily, AND let me drop my bags early which was helpful. It felt like home.”

“I liked everything about the Hawthorne and I would return. I rented the smallest room and that might have been an error on my part. The shower was my only hang up. It is tiny. But, again the room was my choice. I slept well and I’d choose the Hawthorne again!”

“We enjoyed our stay at The Hotel Salem! The location was amazing, and we loved the cool, modern vibe of the hotel. The staff was very helpful and enthusiastic and the rooftop bar was a good place to unwind after a long day of touring. If you are sensitive to noise you should ask for a room that is quiet, because there was a good bit of noise from the rooftop and the street, and we were offered a noise machine to help. ”
