“If you’re looking for a charming escape with all the comforts of home, look no further than Chalk & Cheese.
Tucked away in a quiet, scenic area, this bed and breakfast is the perfect blend of warmth, character, and hospitality.
From the moment you step through the door, you’re greeted by the friendly hosts, who truly go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. They seem to have thought of every detail to make your stay enjoyable, from sweet treats at the entrance to personalised breakfast……
“Beautifully decorated and appointed. Large TV in room. Comfortable bed. Only negative is that the room was hot so had to open window and nearby road is noisy. Also walls thin so could hear people in next room using bathroom, coughing etc. Which disturbed my sleep. ”
“Lovely hotel with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. It has a great resident’s garden. The bedroom was a good size, clean and the bed was so comfortable. Some touch up to small chipped areas of paint would be beneficial. The breakfast was good and we ate at the hotel on one evening. Small menu but the food was excellent. Loved our stay. Sad to hear that it is closing at the end of August as it has been sold and becoming assisted living accommodation. ”
“Unfortunately as we had travelled by train we were limited to using the buses to get into King's Lynn which was quite a good service but was a long 20/25 minutes walk to the bus stop from the hotel.
Everything about the hotel was excellent. Friendly, helpful staff and very clean throughout. Delicious food ”
“Starting with the positives: the room was lovely, large, well appointed and furnished to high standard, large bathroom with bath and shower.
BUT if you are staying on a weekend or the night before a Public holiday be prepared for the pub to be packed and the music to be loud. We could easily hear music and voices from the bar in our room, and it wasn’t just in the background. We complained and the music did get turned down which also meant the voices weren’t as loud, but we still had to sleep……
“Lovely place to stay.
Staff are friendly and accommodating. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet.
Close to Kings Lynn centre if you’re looking for some food or shopping. Can’t fault it.
Will definitely stay again. ”
“My first stay at the Farmhouse but my sister has stayed before and recommended. Went with my dog and they were very accommodating and friendly to us both. Great location for some long walks in a nice peaceful area.
Room was a good size and the bed was super comfy. Can't wait to go back :) ”
“Excellent service. Very old building so there a few things that are as best as they can be but are not what you may expect. For example, the tub is higher than normal and would be problematic if you are older. Heat seemed to be missing except in the bathroom. Still, we would easily stay there again when we return. ”
