“A short stay on the way to Devon for our anniversary. The hotel Good breakfast well cooked and good choice of cerials, fruit etc. Decor a little tired and dated needing a refresh The carpets in the room, stairs and coridors need deep cleaning or replacement. ”

“What a lovely place! The room was surprisingly large with a more than spacious bathroom and both really clean. The adjoining pub/ restaurant had a really good atmosphere with a good range of beers. Staff were really nice friendly willing to help out wherever they can. I strongly recommend booking a table as from what I could see the place is very popular and you do t want to miss out on trying the food! ”

“Staff were a delight the entire stay. Room (1) was beautiful and clean, with windows on 3 sides (excellent for a breeze), lovely roll top bed, comfy mattress and very nice modern bathroom. Bathrobes were a nice touch. Ate at the hotel Saturday night and it was superb. Scotch egg was delicious, pork fabulous and the pizza was gorgeous. Excellent wine selection and utterly superb soft drink (bottles in the fridge) range. Breakfast was really good. Yoghurt, fruits and cereal, then cooked……

“The room I stayed in was clean. The decor was great! Enjoyed my visit, although it was only night. One minor thing. When I sat at a table reserved for me, there was no menu on table, so I borrowed one from a nearby table. This does not take the excellent service provided at the Woodborough Inn.”
