“The place was cooler than the pictures. Tucked way back in a private community was very cool. Great view of the timber and the animals. Our only complaint is that the remotes need labels, I know first world problems right!! You will not be disappointed with this cabin or the views.”

“we enjoyed our stay, the place was very roomy and easy to find. we enjoyed the hot tub. we didn't like the hand rail on the stairs(they seemed steep) it was to big (your hands couldn't grip it) but it was a great get away and very relaxing”

“The cabin is spacious and accurate as listed. It has a large table and enough chairs which is often lacking in cabins that sleep a larger group. Kitchen was workable and kept the group together with one great room. The beds got rave reviews from the group. The fire pit was perfect for gathering outside. The wooded area was fun for walking and exploring. Hot tub was a bonus. Lots to do in the surrounding area. I would caution you that if stairs are a concern for someone in your group- this might……

“Great location for hiking and seeing the effigy mounds. Plenty of little towns nearby to have a meal if you so choose. The cabin is beautiful inside with all the amenities needed for a very cozy stay. Wonderful place for a quiet getaway! ”

“TRAINS!”

“A comfortable cabin located close to the Yellow River State Forest. Plenty of room for 4 or 6 people (we were a group of 4). Two roomy bedrooms plus a loft. Note that the lower bedroom has a queen-size bed, not king as listed in the description. We did some hiking at the Yellow River State Forest and Effigy Mounds National Monument. McGregor and Marquette are two nearby river towns that are also nice to visit.”

“My husband, myself, my sister and our children ages 6-17 stayed here for a relaxing family weekend. This is actually my secone stay here this year! The location is perfect! Close to amenities but far enough away to get a full camping/outdoors secluded experience! We love to sit by the fire, watch the birds, fish at Finleys landing and walk the beach. The cabin is cozy and rustic and thoroughly stocked with firewood and cooking supplies! Perfect stay for families! ”

“We absolutely loved staying at this rental. It was clean, cozy, easy to access and secluded. It was very comfortable- there were plenty of kitchen supplies, towels, and little touches to make you feel right at home. When a repair took place, the communication was transparent and we weren't inconvenienced in the slightest. The cabin is near wonderful hiking paths and a short drive from basic needs like groceries, gas, and firewood. I would highly recommend this rental if you'd like a quiet……

“My husband and I took a last-minute getaway for his birthday. The home was really nice and right on the river. It was a quiet area for the exception of the train which was no bother. The property was near state land which allowed us to do some hiking. Just a 20 minute drive into town for restaurants and shopping. ”

“The views were simply put, outstanding!!! Communication, the property and the thoughtfulness of the host was above and beyond! The driftless region is gorgeous and the views were outstanding. We recommend this cottage for anyone that wants to disconnect and appreciate Nature. We spotted many Eagles and were visited by three owls during our stay…top notch weekend!!!”
