“I booked a single room which was ok. A little tired but obviously, the main rooms with a view possibly being sorted first. The other rooms left early in the morning and left the doors slam which kept me awake from the early hours. Door fixings need to b more gentle when they close. I did ring down to reception but failed to get an answer as I was having trouble with the tv remote. Unable to get the volume increased. I’m sure, in time, all the rooms will b renovated.”

“The location was fabulous and our room had an amazing view over the beach. We had dinner in the bar area and had a window seat overlooking the sea. The food was wonderful and the staff worked really hard to provide excellent service. Harriet was chatty, friendly and really concscientious and is a real credit to the team. “We wanted to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, and would normally have gone somewhere hot for this milestone but with Covid we are still not prepared to fly anywhere, so were looking for something different to just a ‘hotel room’, I saw this advertised on Expedia, and it looked to be just what we were looking for, a bit of luxury in a tranquil setting, just the down time we needed after a busy year. “Just home from a overnight stay here. 4 double rooms was booked and couldn't of been happier. Was greatest by a very friendly girl who explained everything we needed to know. We unpacked and got changed after a long day motorcycling. Headed down for food which was outstanding complete with desert. After we went into the bar for a few games of pool and drinks. All the staff and locals was super friendly. The rooms complete with tea/coffee facilities freeview tv double bed shower over bath. 👌……

“Off to a bad start due to the, otherwise very pleasant, owner pouncing on us as we arrived following a day of travel. We really just wanted to be left alone to arrive and unpack. Not the right time to attempt to convey information and instructions as we unpacked from the car. Nicely situated geographically with a lovely view of the sea from the front facing windows (the only windows unfortunately) and front door. Unfortunately, a public footpath goes straight past your only windows and front……

“Our stay at Y Cartws was lovely and relaxing, very cosy cottage. Was amazing to walk the ground and interact with the goats and horses. The nearby river was very relaxing to listen to, especially in the hot tub at night. Hot tub is at a set temperature which cannot be adjusted. Amenities were great, kitchen is well stocked with utensils and had delicious home made brownies waiting for us. Property was mostly clean but there was some negatives, bathroom was either mouldy or mould stained.……
