“We loved this little bungalow. We were looking for a peaceful place to relax and celebrate our anniversary. Kim was kind and very generous to offer many extras. We had everything we needed and more. Short trip to the beach or the sound. We would definitely visit here again. ”

“Captain's Quarters was a great little place for two to stay. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach as well as the short distance to many other things, I.e. grocery, restaurants, Hwy 158. It's located almost halfway between the Corolla lighthouse and Hatteras lighthouse as well as being very close to Jockey's Ridge and Wright Bros. Memorial.The owners supplied many amenities like shampoo, body wash and creme rinse. Very thoughtful of them.We loved the covered deck!We'd love to go back!”

“Lovely, quiet cottage-like setting a short walk to the beach; Close to good restaurants, to Manteo, and other sites to explore. Fully equipped, very comfortable with private outside sitting options. Owners on-site if needed. Would definitely return. ”

“Our original rental was canceled three days before we were supposed to come to the Outer Banks. So we are super thankful that we were able to find an affordable, oceanside unit that met all of our basic needs on short notice. However nice this unit was being oceanfront, within walking distance to Jockey Ridge and local to many fine amenities it came with several problems. Fortunately the rental agency was responsive and tended to our every need. First, there was an ant-infestation because one……

“Beddrooms are small. Queen room needs fan running to keep cool. Deck was nice but there was road noise.Spa was nice. Short walk to beach. Beach is visible from deck in a small space. Plenty of dining room & full kitchen. may need some flatware. Staff very responsive, easy communication. Overall we had a great time, right off the beach, and it was dog friendly. “This was a fantastic location for all the day trips we planned to explore the Outer Banks. Right across the quiet road is the famous Jockey’s Ridge dunes. The property owners were very responsive and provided all we needed. I would absolutely stay there again, and highly recommend.”
