“We were a group of 10 persons, occupied 5 rooms for staying 2 nights. The hotel generally speaking is a good hotel, with clean and comfortable rooms. However, two of the rooms were found problem in water supply for bathing where only hot (very hot) water supply but no cold water for the shower. When asking for repairing service in the late night, the reply was unfavourable. Until the next morning, only one room could be fixed while the other was settled by changing another room for my friends.”

“Aside from the hotel staff, the concierge (Ronnie) was most helpfull in providing direction on how best to walk throughout the "City Centre" area. His knowledge of the area eg. restaurants, site seeing locations and areas of interest we had, was most appreciated by Christopher and I. And yes, would we return to Liverpool and stay at the Halyard. ”

“Positive Great value, excellent food, lovely setting, good pool, attentive helpful staff. Not so positive No wifi in room 112. No sparkle in the sparkling water dispenser outside the room. ROAM is not a user friendly car charging app.”

“New hotel with barrier free accessories was surprising😝 There were callbells and handrails in the room👍 High quality free breakfast buffet😋Takeaway cups and sandwiches bag were available for the ones in a hurry😍 Yet, some of the utensils at the buffet were obviously dirty😕”

“Room was nice and clean but the air conditioning was broken for our entire stay. The location was super convenient. The Cavern club, bars and restaurants basically out the door. With that being said if you want quiet, this is not your place. We did not mind it. ”

“Friendly staff, nice restaurant and good breakfast. Worked well for us as a base for cycling around Cheshire. Hotel has prime location on the lovely Tarporley High Street. Very old property, well maintained. Only criticism is TV reception was poor with digital picture constantly breaking up.”
